The SCPL, hereinafter referred to as the company, collects, process and stores data or information from its clients or users, which inter-alia, includes the email addresses, phone numbers, websites or URLs, name and address, social media profile, log-in credentials, contact and other information of the clients. The company also employs tracking or analytical tools to capture other information such as location of the clients or their business, country of origin and even commercial images shared voluntarily between the company and its clients with their explicit consent only. The company also collects data and information that emanate from EDI platform etc., all of which are regarded as personal information.
The data or information may also include records of the conversation (online or offline) or interactions within its networks, IP addresses, device and other referral data or information. The company also collects comments, items and topics the clients query, additional search items and other information posted through interactive online features. The company may also allow the download features of the documents or contents required by the nature of the services delivered to the clients.
The information is collected from the portal and official email address of the company and used for legitimate business purpose and valid processing of the transactions. The data or information is stored in company’s database and protected to safeguard the security and privacy of the data itself. The clients are granted all time access to their data and entitled to receive the copy of the information in standardized format. The company does not publicize the clients’ data for any purpose with exceptions to the requirement laid down under any act, rules, or regulation, whatsoever, requiring the publication of such data or information.
The company may share such data or information with third parties only in case such sharing is required by the valid execution, delivery and performance of the terms of the services under a legally enforceable contract, however, it does not permit any third party to pass on, produce, reproduce, extract or copy its clients’ data and uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that its clients’ data or information is protected at all time from unauthorized access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.
The company uses clients’ data or information to provide its clients certain services and recognize them every time they use the committed services by resorting to particular actions in relation to collection, processing and storage of such data or information.
The company may also use cookies and similar technologies to keep track of local computers’ settings of its clients such as which accounts they have logged into and notification settings, which may be further expanded to save additional data as new features are added to its services. The company may also use third party website analytics tools on our website that employ cookies to collect certain information concerning the clients’ use of its services.
The company may also use log files, flash cookies, tags and stamps, analytics, local storage, and other methods and technologies etc., in its website to analyze trends, administer its websites, track visitors’ movements around its websites, and gather demographic information about our visitors as a whole. Through these, the company aims to provide improved clients experiences, enhance its service performance, make visitors better informed on how its software functions, and give them a personalized experience.
The data or information is kept as long as the company reasonably require it and permanently deleted as and when the objectives of such data or information are achieved and such data or information is no longer required. When the clients choose password, which allow them to access certain resources of the websites, they are responsible for keeping the passwords confidential and not sharing the password with anyone.
The transmission of data or information via the internet is not completely secure and, although the company takes reasonable steps to protect the confidential information of its clients and follows industry standards on information security management to safeguard sensitive personal information, it does not guarantee the absolute security of such information transmitted via the website, any transmission therefore is at your own risk.
If the company temporarily suspends its service for maintenance, it might send its clients an email. Such email shall not be promotional in nature. All the relevant enactments of Government of Nepal (GoN) with respect to protection and legitimate disclosure of data or information shall apply to the company.
